New Review in Hypermedia and Multimedia

ISSN (printed): 1361-4568. ISSN (electronic): 1740-7842.

The New Review of Hypermedia and Multimedia is designed to provide a focus for research and a source of information on the practical and theoretical developments in hypermedia, hypertext, interactive multimedia and related technologies. These highly innovative systems allow the integration of images, sound, text and data to form powerful tools for information retrieval; by linking multi-media with mass storage, they can provide users with a more diverse and richly textured information environment. The New Review covers the following key themes: the conceptual basis of hypertext systems; cognitive aspects; design strategies; knowledge representation; knowledge organisation systems; the semantic web, link dynamics; intelligent and adaptive hypermedia; authoring; navigation and browsing; search systems, studies of information seeking and navigation behaviour; testing and evaluation; user interfaces; tools for hypermedia; applications in e-learning, information management, digital libraries, publishing, business, commerce, the professions and public administration. The editors will be pleased to consider for publication manuscripts that deal with any of the broad range of themes outlined. Volumes of The New Review will normally combine one or two topical themes with open submission papers that fall within the general scope of the journal.
