Now established as a leading point of reference for scholars of Southern Europe, South European Society and Politics,promotes both comparative and inter-disciplinary analyses, as well as offering innovative single county and sub-national studies. Re-launched this year with a new editorial team, the journal acts as a forum for social, economic, cultural, contemporary historical and political approaches to research on the region, and is particularly keen to sponsor policyñfocused studies in all these disciplines. The journal also includes 'sign-post' pieces on the state of the art in major areas of research, a comprehensive bok reviews section, and reports on current developments in both Europe and the USA. South European Society and Politics is primarily focused on Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain, but also actively encourages high quality contributions on Southern France, Cyprus, Malta and Turkey. It is open to scholars working in any of the major social science disciplines ñ notably, political science, political economy, sociology, social policy, social anthropology and socio-legal studies ñ as well as to those working in the field of contemporary history. Published three times a year, South European Society and Politics also invites distinguished guest editors to oversee an annual special issue.
