This innovative bimonthly journal, published by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, has been designed to promote continuing professional development in psychiatry. Each issue includes commissioned articles dealing with physical and biological aspects of treatment, psychological and sociological interventions, management issues, and treatments specific to the different psychiatric sub-specialties. The journal will make a firm contribution to improving consultant effectiveness and confidence in the treatment of patients. Advances in Psychiatric Treatment is aimed at practising mental health professionals who need to be kept informed of current ideas, techniques and developments in psychiatry.
