IEE Proceedings - Vision, Image and Signal Processing
IEE Proc Vis Image Signal Process

ISSN (printed): 1350-245X. ISSN (electronic): 1359-7108.

Discontinued in 2006. Split into IET Computer Vision (1751-9632), IET Image Processing (1751-9659) and IET Signal Processing (1751-9675). Topics covered include: Encompasses signal processing in the widest context. Image processing techniques such as sampling, enhancement, restoration, segmentation and texture generation for shape analysis etc. Machine vision, computer imaging and computer graphics are appropriate to this journal. It also covers the source coding techniques used in image coding; for example vector quantisation, transform and sub-band techniques, motion compensation, standards, and 3-D modelling for bit rate reduction in image sequences as well as frames of still pictures. Advances in the field of speech analysis, coding, recognition and synthesis are appropriate. Signal processing includes algorithm advances in single and multidimensional recursive and non-recursive digital filters and multirate filterbanks; signal transformation techniques; classical, parametric and higher order spectral analysis; system modelling and adaptive identification techniques.
