A scientific journal; aims at providing a publication channel for new developments and achievements in structural engineering and building science, wide distribution at affordable subscription rates, fast reviewing and publication of manuscripts submitted, broad scope for wide participation and dissemination of new research results. The main topics of the Journal are items of (1) mechanics, (2) structural science, (3) materials, (4) building physics and (5) experimental research in civil engineering. Focused are theoretical, numerical and experimental problems of structural mechanics, design of metal, concrete and wood structures, the effects of wind, earthquake and wave loadings on structures, fluid- and soil-structure interactions, structural optimization, safety, reliability and control of structures, technology and physicochemical mechanics of new structural materials as well as the problems of daylighting, acoustics and thermal performance of structures. Submissions of original papers from top scientists, researchers and practising engineers from all countries are particularly encouraged.
