Psychiatry, Psychology and Law is rapidly becoming a driving force behind the up-to-date examination of forensic issues in psychiatry and psychology. It is a fully refereed journal with outstanding academic and professional representation on its editorial board and is aimed at health, mental health and legal professionals. The journal aims to publish and disseminate information regarding research and development in forensic psychiatry, forensic psychology and areas of law and other disciplines in which psychiatry and psychology have a relevance. Features of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law include: review articles; analyses of professional issues, controversies and developments; case studies; original empirical studies; book reviews; special issues dealing with a particular topic in depth; and legislation and case commentaries. Psychiatry, Psychology and Law is the professional journal of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law (ANZAPPL). Established in the late 70's, ANZAPPL is committed to exploring the relationship between psychiatry, psychology and the law. The Association promotes co-operation and communication between the disciplines of psychiatry, psychology and law related fields, as well as encouraging research into issues, problems, and professional discussion in forensic psychiatry, forensic psychology, and areas of law and other disciplines in which psychiatry and psychology have a relevance. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the relationship between mental health and the law.
