Global Media Journal internet ortamında yılda iki kez, bahar ve güz dönemlerinde yayımlanan ve küresel ölçekte iletişim alanındaki akademik çalışmalara yer veren uluslararası bir dergidir. Derginin amacı bu alandaki akademisyenler arasında bir network oluşturmak ve çalışmalarından birbirlerini haberdar etmektir. Global Media Journal publishes work in various topics as media concentration, media and culture, globalization of television genres, global media, intercultural communication, consumer culture, the role of media in democratic societies, global justice, propaganda, commercialization of news, new media technologies, local media and media regulations. The Global Media Journal has 14 different established international editions. Global Media Journal Turkish edition is one of them. The Department of Public Relations and Publicity at Yeditepe University School of Communication has assumed the responsibility for publishing Global Media Journal Turkish Edition in 2010. The journal is advised by an editorial board of prominent International Communication scholars. The journal publishes refeered papers, and also welcomes guest papers, book reviews as well as studies by graduate and doctoral students.
