The need for production efficiency and quality in industry, requires using the very best approaches to modelize and simulate the forming processes. It is expected that this will contribute to optimizing these forming processes, avoiding empiricims and reducing costs and delays compared to a purely experimental approach. The International Journal of Forming Processes covers all forming processes including sheet forming, bulk forming, powder forming, forming in melt or near-melt conditions, material removal processes and non-traditional processes such as abrasive jet, laser, or ultrasonic abrasion. All materials will be considered including metals, ceramics, polymers, fibre reinforced materials, composites. A special edition of the Journal may be issued each year on a single given forming process.
