La revue AILE traite de questions d’acquisition et d’interaction en langue étrangère. Cette double orientation correspond aux origines de la revue. Fondée et soutenue par l’association Encrages déjà impliquée dans l’organisation de colloques sur ces mêmes questions dès la fin des années 1970, cette revue constitue la seule revue en langue française traitant d’apprentissage et d’acquisition des langues étrangères (et parfois de la langue maternelle) pris sous l’angle psycholinguistique et sous l’angle cognitif. Les observations sont souvent le résultat de suivis sur la longue durée d’apprenants d’origines variées. The journal AILE treats questions of acquisition and interaction in a foreign language. This double orientation corresponds to the journal origins. Founded and supported by the association Encrages, already involved in organizing conferences on these very questions since the end of the 1970's, this review is the only journal in French to deal with the learning and acquisition of foreign languages (and sometimes the mother tongue) from a psycholinguistic and cognitive angle. Observations are often the result of long-term accompaniment of learners from different origins.
