The Journal of the Korean Astronomical Society is published to promote the original research among astronomers in Korea and elsewhere. Currently, JKAS is published twice, ends of July and December, each year. However, the frequency and publication dates can change with the number of papers submitted. The Korean Astronomical Society is interested in increasing the frequency. Also, we can publish special issues: the proceedings of the 7th Asian Pacific Regional Meeting held in 1996 was published as a special issue in 1996.
