Revista Româna de Sociologie

ISSN: 1224-9262.

The aim of this review is to continue the tradition of the previous series of "Sociologie romaneasca", established by Dimitrie Gusti and publishing between 1936-1944. The new series of the review was settled in 1972, having, until December 1989, the title "Viitorul Social". Starting with the first number of 1990, the review changed again its title, becoming "Sociologie romaneasca". After the nos. 1-2/1996, the review used the title "Revista Romana de Sociologie". The review has 6 (six) numbers per year. The review reflects the dynamics and the interests of the Romanian sociological community and its creative potentialities, putting into the light the contribution of the sociologists from academic and applied areas. It systematically popularizes the present and future interests of the Romanian sociologists and their specific contribution to the reform process. It also brings into attention the traditions of the Romanian sociology and publishes relevant studies of foreign sociologists. Besides the thematic articles, the review contains scientific notes regarding the national and international contemporary sociological movement. The materials offer the specialized public information on present problems of sociology and to students a helping hand in their professional training, being also dedicated to the public at large interested in the social problematic.
