Ephemeris Napocensis

The journal Ephemeris Napocensis was founded in 1991 by the Department of Archaeology of the Institute of Archaeology and History of Art of the Romanian Academy. It is published in one volume a year, consisting of a single issue with an average number of pages of 350. The journal publishes fundamental studies in archaeology and ancient history written in Romanian, as well as in foreign languages. The topics cover all branches of archaeology: pre and proto-historic archaeology, classical archaeology, Roman provincial archaeology, migration and early medieval archaeology and also numismatic and epigraphy. In addition to the studies Ephemeris Napocensis publishes also presentations of international conferences, reports concerning the scientific activity of the members of the Department of Archaeology of the Institute, bibliographical information, book reviews. The Editors will look for the originality, the new results of the research and the significance of the problems researched by the contributors. All manuscripts will be refereed and only papers of high scientific quality will be accepted for publication. Short notes, or excavation interim reports are not accepted. The journal is addressed to all specialists, Romanians and foreigners, in archaeology and ancient history. The journal has in present about 250 exchanges with other journals from all over the world.
