Toxicological Reviews will publish critical and comprehensive review papers on all aspects of toxicology, though the emphasis will be on the effects of drugs and chemicals on human health. The Journal will also publish authoritatively written papers on important developments and controversies in toxicology, to facilitate the continuing professional development of its readers. The intent is that Toxicological Reviews will provide in-depth continuing toxicological education for practicing toxicologists, particularly those in the sub-specialties of clinical, occupational and environmental toxicology. Toxicological Reviews will be relevant therefore not only to clinical toxicologists, clinical pharmacologists, poisons centre staff, occupational physicians and hygienists, but to all scientists who seek to understand more fully the effects of drugs and chemicals on human health. In addition, those practising primarily in emergency medicine, internal medicine and paediatrics will find that the authoritative and concisely written reviews published in Toxicological Reviews will assist them in providing optimal care for their patients who have been exposed to drugs and chemicals.
