Founded in 1993 and promoted by the Fondazione Casa di Oriani of Ravenna, Memory and Research pursues some fundamentals: the comparison and the interdisciplinary approach in the "laboratory" of the contemporary contemporary historian. Each dossier is open to a monographic part that, from time to time, collects original contributions on frontier topics of historical research. Looking at the space dimension of historical processes, with particular reference to the European and Mediterranean context, it seeks to combine sensitivities of historiography with those of social sciences. In its headings ("Regions / Reasons for History", "Document / Image", "Online Spaces"), the magazine is also interested in the forms of communication and the various languages that contribute to the construction of public cultural memory, The European and international comparative approach allows for better definition of the Italian case as well.
