CVD Prevention, The Journal of the World Heart Federation (WHF), is designed to support the prevention of heart and vascular diseases and stroke throughout the world by global communication of relevant research findings. Recognizing its role and responsibility in this area, the WHF seeks to identify and disseminate peer-reviewed reports of significant scientific advances with potential application to cardiovascular disease prevention and notable contributions to the practice of cardiovascular disease prevention, including program experience and policy development. By addressing achievements and challenges in the broad area of cardiovascular disease prevention, the Journal provides a forum for information exchange on a current basis. The Editorial Board will represent each of the World Health Organization regions: Africa, the Americas, the Eastern Mediterranean, Europe, South-East Asia, and the Western Pacific. Each Scientific Council and the Foundations Board of the WHF will be represented as well. Additional members will be appointed to the Editorial Board as appropriate. CVD Prevention features research articles, review articles, statements of current opinion, policy statements, editorials, correspondence, and WHF news. Its content is intended to be of value to all engaged in research, practice, and policy development in areas relevant to cardiovascular disease prevention, all of whose interest and contributions will be welcomed. Discontinued in 2002.
