As medicine enters the 21st century, there is a growing recognition from clinicians and biomedical researchers that lifespan can be prolonged and that premature deterioration from cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, stroke and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer and #146;s and Parkinson and #146;s may be delayed and prevented. This new quarterly, peer reviewed, interdisciplinary Journal publishes papers that discuss hormone replacement therapy; gene and cell therapies; new technologies for biomarker assay of the rate of human aging so that physicians are able to measure the effectiveness of one therapeutic against another for its ability to reverse or inhibit the aging process; new technologies for regeneration, organ transfer, and full limb replacement; and breakthroughs from the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
