Journal of Gender Culture and Health publishes theoretical and experimental papers on the biobehavioral developmental and psychosocial facets of gender and culture which relate to health outcomes in diverse groups of women and men across the life span. Papers also address intervention strategies for individuals and groups with specific gender and cultural characteristics. While the journal has a behavioral science focus selections reflect a broad range of research and applied science concerns. Original state-of-the-art papers cover topics that include: gender differences in communication; expression of emotion; cultural differences in response to stress or family and work roles; vulnerability factors for behavioral emotional and medical illnesses common to men women or cultural groups. Although the journal's emphasis is on original research reviews of the literature and contributions which develop theoretical models based on experimental data are also considered.
