Journal of Clinical Geropsychology publishes high-quality empirical theoretical review and clinical papers on the assessment diagnosis categorization prevention and treatment of psychological problems in older adults. It is the first psychologically based gerontology journal to detail the clinical applications of research to this special population. Original state-of-the-art papers include topics such as evaluation of the diagnostic system as it applies to the elderly existing assessment strategies not previously used with older adults development of normative data and new assessment tools epidemiologic and large-scale prevention studies psychophysiological and neuropsychological assessments psychological treatments including behavioral cognitive and interpersonal therapy behavioral medicine and the role of genetic factors in producing psychopathology.
