Founded in 1936, The Academy is the leading international organization of academics and practitioners that works to foster the advancement of research, learning, teaching, and practice in the management field. It has over 12,000 members in more than 75 countries. The mission of The Academy of Management Executive is to publish research-based knowledge in order to inform and improve management practice. Articles, notes, and other materials published in The Executive provide educators and practitioners with information that is both scholarly and useful for teaching/training students and executives and for implementing new organizational practices. Preference is given to submissions whose research substance is likely to have wide applicability and considerable usefulness. The Executive directly supports the Academy of Management's strategic objective of the dissemination of scholarship that can enhance management practice.
