The primary goal of The American Journal of Orthopedics® is to provide timely, practical, and readable technical information of the highest caliber to the orthopedic surgeon involved in the everyday practice of orthopedics. To accomplish this, The American Journal of Orthopedics® will present unbiased, comprehensive, and clinically relevant review articles, original studies, case reports, and practical department features. To assure the highest editorial quality possible, each article appearing in The American Journal of Orthopedics® will be peer reviewed for its clinical relevance, technical accuracy, and clarity of presentation. The American Journal of Orthopedics® will strive to provide its readers with a variety of topics, taking into account the diversity of practice interests. Those topics will include surgical procedures, diagnosis and treatment, arthroscopy, sports medicine, trauma, pediatric and geriatric orthopedics, and rehabilitation. Finally, The American Journal of Orthopedics® will be responsive to the needs of our readers by providing opportunities for comment and input through a Letters to the Editor column.
