Papers can focus on one of these areas but the journal is committed to the view that all aspects of health systems are interrelated and papers which make links between some of these areas will be particularly welcome. Papers accepted for publication are likely to analyse these areas in relation to one or more of the following: aims or ends; underlying models concepts or assumptions; principles values or ideology. All styles of theoretical analysis are welcome providing that they illuminate fundamental issues and encourage debate.
