International Applied Mechanics a translation of Prikladnaya Mekhanika provides up-to-date coverage of studies on: the mechanics of fluids and solids; structural mechanics; vibration theory; elastic wave propagation; and hydromechanics. Areas of special interest include nonlinear oscillations stress concentrations around openings; and thermal stresses. The journal deals with practical problems commonly encountered by mechanical engineers working in the aviation shipbuilding turbomachinery and construction industries. The Russian volume-year is published in English beginning in July.
