Published/Hosted by SAGE.
ISSN (printed): 1062-0656. ISSN (electronic): 1530-8065.
Discontinued in 2002. The Journal of Materials Processing and Manufacturing Science provides an interdisciplinary forum for crossfertilization of research activities in all related areas. The Journal covers the traditional as well as the newly emerging materials including metals, polymers, and ceramics. Topics Covered Include: transport phenomena, development of new processing technologies, materials characterization, development of processing-performance relations, micro- and macromechanics issues in processing, application of advanced computation for process simulation and control. There is increasing emphasis on the development of new materials and processing technologies to meet the exacting performance demands in many fields including all aspects of engineering, biomedical and electronic materials. Progress requires a strong science base in materials processing and manufacturing which in turn must draw from talents cutting across every branch of science and engineering. Researchers are now equipped with new tools that range from super computers for realtime process simulation to atomic scale advanced microscopes giving unprecedented opportunities for the development of new technologies and furthering advanced theoretical and experimental research.
