The Eurasian Astronomical Society was founded in the Spring of 1990 as an independent association of astronomers from various fields of astronomy and astrophysics. The main purpose of the society is to maintain the development of astronomy and to reinforce communications between astronomers in the former Soviet Union and their colleagues all over the world. Astronomical and Astrophysical Transactions provides a forum for the rapid publication of material from all modern and classical fields of astronomy and astrophysics, as well as material concerned with astronomical instrumentation and related fundamental sciences. It includes both theoretical and experimental original research papers, short communications, review papers and conference reports.
