Tulane Maritime Law Journal

Beginning its 24th year of publication, the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, formerly The Maritime Lawyer, is the first and pre-eminent student-edited admiralty law journal in the world. The Journal has a circulation of over 1000, spanning 38 countries on six continents, and including private law firms, marine insurance companies, shipping lines, federal agencies, federal judges, and the United States Supreme Court. Members of the journal have the opportunity to interact with local, national, and international admiralty attorneys. The Journal publishes two issues each year consisting of practical and scholarly works written by academics, practitioners, and students. The Journal recently began publishing student works in an electronic format, which is accessible via the Internet. Members of the Journal, numbering between 40 and 45, are selected on the basis of a summer writing competition and academic performance.
