Each issue of Topics in Catalysis is devoted to a particular theme. The Editors-in-Chief Gabor Somorjai and Sir John Meurig Thomas choose that theme and appoint Guest Editors to put together an issue devoted to it. The Guest Editors in turn invite individual researchers to contribute timely and appropriate papers which after being refereed are collected into a topical issue. In addition to issues on topical themes reflecting the trends of the current research in catalysis issues are published on the subejcts of international symposia the foci of national meetings and as festschrifts for eminent catalysis scientists. Individuals are encourages to propose to the Editors-in-Chief suitable topics to be covered in future issues of Topics in Catalysis.
