Progress in Biological Sciences is published biannually by the College of Science, University of Tehran, Iran. The College of Science published Journal of Science – University of Tehran, from 1968 to 2009. This journal covered all fields of basic science. It was decided that the College’s journals should be more specialized, and hence publication of Progress in Biological Sciences (PBioSci) was launched. PBioSciwill publish timely peer-reviewed original research in the biological sciences. Research topics include botany, cell and molecular biology, microbiology, zoology, environmental issues, biotechnology, nanotechnology or a combination of these. Basic, applied, and technical findings will be published. Manuscripts describing cross-disciplined research are particularly welcomed.
