The journal Buletinul Societatii Numismatice Române (BSNR) was founded in 1904 by the Romanian Numismatic Society. Since 1992 it has been published by the Romanian Academy in one issue (2 volumes) in two years. The journal publishes original papers, usually in Romanian, but also in French, English or German. The articles published in Romanian are accompanied by abstracts in languages of international use. The topics cover all the branches of ancient, medieval, modern and contemporary numismatics. In addition, papers of metrology, sigillography, glyptics, heraldry, art of medals, chronicles and book reviews are published. The journal is intended to numismatists and archaeologists and to other specialists interested in history.
