ISSN (printed): 0969-9260. ISSN (electronic): 1743-291X.
Progress in Palliative Care is a peer reviewed, multidisciplinary journal with an international perspective. It provides a central point of reference for all members of the palliative care community: medical consultants, nurses, hospital support teams, home care teams, hospice directors and administrators, pain centre staff, social workers, chaplains, counsellors, information staff, paramedical staff and self-help groups. The emphasis of the journal is on the rapid exchange of information amongst those working in palliative care. Progress in Palliative Care embraces all aspects of the management of the problems of end-stage disease. It provides a single forum for current trends and controversies, and a major listing of the international research literature, including that which is novel and pertinent though not widely available. Material for the whole multi-disciplinary palliative care community is brought together in one journal. It is published on the premise that the field is expanding so fast and that published information is so widely scattered that a single, easily digestible source, with a strong research orientation, is essential to enable colleagues to keep abreast of new developments. The Editorial Board is international and includes a wide variety of disciplines.
