The European research in regional science series are annual publications by Pion together with the British Section of the Regional Science Association. They provide a showcase for the best of European regional science research and reflect the continuing interest in this area, especially in the light of continuing political change in Europe. Each volume is based on a theme and comprises a collection of high-quality papers drawn from one or more of the regional science conferences and workshops held in Europe, including the annual European Congress. Since volume 8, John Dewhurst of the University of Dundee has taken over the role of senior editor from Peter Batey of the University of Liverpool. He is advised and supported by an editorial board made up of leading European regional scientists.
