Biodiversity and Conservation is an international journal devoted to the publication of articles on all aspects of biological diversity its description analysis and conservation and its controlled rational use by humankind. The Journal also provides a forum for examining the conflicts between sustainable development and human dependence on biodiversity especially in such fields as agriculture environmental management and biotechnology. The Editors encourage contributors from developing countries in order to realize proper global perspectives on matters of biodiversity and conservation. Pertinent topics include but are not restricted to: assessment and monitoring of biodiversity; captive breeding and relocations; marine biota; environmental planning and management; social and economic constraints on conservation; policy; genetic diversity; restoration ecology; new biotechnological product research and development and responses to environmental change. Biodiversity and Conservation is multidisciplinary and embraces all life-forms.
