Discontinued. Over the first decade of its life, Australian Studies, the journal of the British Australian Studies Association, has established itself internationally as a respected vehicle for the publication of articles and commentary on many aspects of the Australian scene including its geography, history, law, political science, economics, literature, the media, sociology and science. Australian Studies aims to foster innovative critical approaches and to encourage connection between traditionally discrete areas of research. Special numbers are devoted to particular topics (recent examples have focused on popular culture, suburbanism and comparative methodologies) which are interspersed with more general issues. The journal also contains a comprehensive reviews section and an editorial preface which provides information on events and initiatives of interest to readers.
