Shock Waves publishes theoretical and experimental results on shock and detonation wave phenomena in gases liquids solids and two-phase media from both the fundamental research and applications point of view. Shock Waves will incorporate refereed reviews contributed papers and short notes in one focused journal. Scientists and engineers working on shock wave phenomena in experimental analytical and numerical aerodynamics and gasdynamics detonations and explosions physical chemistry shock waves in condensed matter plasma physics astro- and geophysics biology and medicine will find essential and up-to-date results the most recent experimental techniques and a comprehensive overview of the development of the field. Each issue will include news and meeting reports to interest of the shock-wave community. Articles may be submitted to any one of the editors. Technical notes for rapid publication are reviewed and accepted by the managing editors.
