Forst und Holz
Published/Hosted by Fachverlag M & H Schaper.
Forst und Holz is the eldest and one of the leading German journals for forestry, forest ecology, timber industry, environmental management, and game management. Forst und Holz was established in 1946 first as journal for the upcoming forest administrations. Meanwhile, Forst und Holz is introduced on international level and subscribed from Northern Europe up to Southern Asia. Forst und Holz can be described as transfer instrument between science and (forest) practice. Consequently, we accept scientific papers (language German/English) as well as reports, comments, book reviews and communications (language German). Considering scientific articles the possibility of an external peer review is reserved. The publication strategy for articles follows a thematical bundling of the contributions and is oriented on their topicality. Reports, comments, reviews and communications are published month to month. Our thematical scale covers all aspects of forestry and timber industry. However, special focus is laid on the interface to (forest) practice and economy. Besides, each issue provides actual information on timber market, events, and actual literature. Forst und Holz comprises 12 issues/year and reaches a broad publicity in forestry and timber industry from forest owners and foresters up to service enterprises and administrations. Feel welcome to join the Forst und Holz community.
