The journal publishes original papers in German and English with two summaries each (German and English), short communications and book reviews in the fields of general and special plant production, including grassland cultivation under particular aspects of substance production in crop plants. Particular regard is given to an application-oriented basic research as well as to applied research. With this aim and as a central and international publication organ on crop science the journal continuously offers a competent survey on research work and results, making new findings, methods, and techniques easily accessible and applicable in practice.
