This quarterly journal aims to introduce research and applications in the field of medical and biological engineering from Japan and other countries to a world-wide readership. Papers in Frontiers of Medical and Biological Engineering are either revised and translated articles from Japanese journals or are originally submitted to the journal. By accepting both purely scientific papers giving new fundamental information and articles containing technical, industrial and/or clinical data, the journal covers the field of medical and biological engineering in its broadest sense. Issues contain review papers, original articles, short communications and a section on news, meeting notices, new products, research projects and book reviews.
