Acta Agriculturæ Scandinavica publishes original articles concerning agriculture research of international interest and relevance to Scandinavian conditions in two separate sections; "Animal Science" (A) and "Soil and Plant Science" (B). Acta Agriculturæ Scandinavica is published jointly by The Scandinavian Association of Agricultural Scientists (NJF) and The Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry (KSLA). The Aim and Scope of Section A is to publish results of original research in animal science and their applications related to animal breeding and genetics; animal physiology and reproduction; nutrition and feeding; animal behaviour and welfare; general animal husbandry and systems of production, including economic and technical aspects; hygiene and quality of animal products. In addition to original articles, covering basic as well as applied subjects, the journal features review articles and short communications. It is the endeavour of the journal to give place to papers of high scientific quality and international interest, authored by Scandinavian as well as non-Scandinavian scientists in order to stimulate contacts and exchange of knowledge.
