The Journal of Substance Abuse is a quarterly journal focussed on the broad areas of alcohol, drug, and nicotine studies. The journal is international as well as interdisciplinary. Submissions from medicine, psychology, sociology, epidemiology, economics and anthropology are all encouraged. The journal is oriented to original, empirical research. Manuscripts in the form of regular articles and brief reports (no more than eight double-spaced pages) will be accepted for review. Succinctness in regular articles expedites all aspects of review and publication. Authors wishing to submit a review article should contact the editor in advance to determine the appropriateness of the article for the journal.
