The only journal devoted exclusively to Lincoln scholarship, JALA is published twice a year by the University of Illinois Press in cooperation with the Abraham Lincoln Association. The journal publishes selected scholarly papers presented each year at the Lincoln Symposium in Springfield, Illinois, and also features photographs and newly discovered Lincoln letters and documents. Its "Lincolniana" section informs readers about new Lincoln books and articles.
