Business Ethics was co-founded in 1987 by Miriam Kniaz and Marjorie Kelly to promote ethical business practices, and to serve the growing community of professionals and individuals striving to work and invest in responsible ways. For twenty years it was the only US-based business magazine focusing on ethics and corporate responsibility. It published articles, reviews, interviews, letters, and analyses of contemporary business trends, as well as annual Business Ethics Awards to honor companies that had gone out of their way to do something right. The magazine ceased publication in print format in 2006, but continued as on online magazine. The Philosophy Documentation Center offers electronic access to the entire collection of original print issues in cooperation with New Mountain Media.
