It emphasizes modern and controversial topics. Its range includes paleobiology, paleoethology, paleobiogeography, evolutionary processes and patterns, molecular paleontology, extinction, phenomena, taphonomy, and aspects of geology, geochemistry and geophysics that have a direct bearing on paleobiological questions.
