TTR: Traduction, Terminologie, Rédaction
TTR

Published by Canadian Association for Translation Studies / Association Canadienne de Traductologie. ISSN (printed): 0835-8443. ISSN (electronic): 1708-2188.

TTR: traduction, terminologie, rédaction is a translation studies journal devoted to translation, terminology, writing and all related disciplines that facilitate the study of texts and the changes made to them. TTR : traduction, terminologie, rédaction was created to meet the pressing need of the young discipline of translation studies to be autonomous and thereby make possible translation research efforts within a culturally-based textual framework. The journal publishes thematic issues examining translation practices from a specific perspective and also deals with translation studies in a more general sense. TTR : traduction, terminologie, rédaction reflects the sociocultural dimension of the development of theoretical and scientific studies of translation: sociosemiotics, discourse analysis, and cultural and historical studies relating to the source culture and, above all, the target culture. Founded in 1987 at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières by Jean-Marc Gouanvic and Robert Larose, TTR : traduction, terminologie, rédaction became the journal of the Canadian Association for Translation Studies (CATS) in 1988. French and English are the languages of publication.
