Increased to four issues a year from 1998, the aim of Prometheus is to publish high quality peer reviewed research papers and contributions to national and international policy debate. These relate issues in technological change, innovation, information economics, and telecommunications and science policy. The journal seeks to act as a bridge between disciplines, as well as between cholarly work and the policy process. Articles have covered subjects as diverse as job creation in high technology industries and road transport informatics. A series of special country reports has covered the Japanese innovation system, Korean industrial policy, the promotion of sophisticated technology in Israel, science and technology in modern China, telework in New Zealand, and the transfer of industrial technology to the Western Pacific. The journal aims to: publish research provide a central and orderly forum from which information may diffuse and in which a debate may take place illuminate controversial issues contribute to the process of policy-making.
