International Forum of Psychoanalysis is a meeting place for all psychoanalysts, independent of international affiliation and theoretical orientation. The journal promotes especially articles demonstrating clinical experience and interest in revising or expanding psychoanalytic theory. Special efforts are made to give equal space to experience in the female and male voice. Sections for Book Reviews, Brief Communications and Letters to the Editor are also included in the journal. International Forum of Psychoanalysis publishes articles on varied topics such as: the history of psychoanalysis, homosexuality, psychoanalysis under political oppression, creativity, psychoanalytic teaching and technique, lived experience versus phantasy, psychotic disturbances, female psychology, quality assessment and quality assurance. Submitted papers are evaluated by at least two editorial readers in different parts of the world and by the members of the Editorial Board. The journal is published under the auspices of the International Federation of Psychoanalytic Societies (IFPS) . The first volume was published in 1992.
