New Vico Studies

ISSN (printed): 0733-9542. ISSN (electronic): 2153-8255.

Discontinued in 2009. New Vico Studies published articles, translations, notes, reports, and book reviews that reflect the current state of the study of the works of Giambattista Vico. Sponsored by the Institute for Vico Studies at Emory University, this peer-reviewed journal included discussion of ideas that can be considered Vichian in nature and that have some affinity with contemporary thought. Also included in each issue were bibliographic supplements to the major compilation of writings on Vico, Vico: A Bibliography of Works in English from 1884 to 1994. The journal was published in English but the editors followed work on Vico in all languages. New Vico Studies was published annually for the Institute for Vico Studies by the Philosophy Documentation Center. Established in 1983, it ceased publication of new issues in 2010 with the completion of Volume 27 (2009). All issues are available from the Philosophy Documentation Center in electronic format.
