Founded in 1986 as a publication of ASFeR (Associazione per lo Studio del Fenomeno Religioso), the review examines the religious aspects in their social phenomenology as a clue permitting to explore the undercurrents of society. Thanks to the work of its editorial staff along with the contributions from elsewhere in Italy and abroad, the review as become increasingly influential and internationally recognized as to be an original means for continuing improvement, updating and documentation on the religious factor in its multiple social implications. The review is a four-monthly publication edited with the scientific support of The Department of Social Studies of the University of Florence.
