Sociologia del Lavoro is Italy's main review dealing with work and employment from a sociological perspective. It has a specific focus on interdisciplinarity and social change. Founded in 1978, it is published quarterly under the supervision of a qualified board of directors. It has stable collaboration agreements with Sociologie du Travail and Sociologia del Trabajo and relies on a network of foreign academic correspondents. It also publishes articles by contributors and international scholars. The review publishes, and has been publishing for more than a decade, special issues containing the official records of the conferences, congresses and scientific seminars held by the "Economics, Labour and Organization" section of the "Italian Sociological Association" (ELO-AIS). Thus Sociologia del lavoro is mainly aimed at the sociological community interested in economics, labour and organization. It also seeks to provide a forum for open, wide-ranging and pluralistic debate between scholars, experts, social forces and cultural institutions. Each issue is structured in the same way: most articles develop a single theme which is introduced by the editors, while the final part is reserved for essays and critical notes on different subjects. The review guarantees the scientific quality of each issue thanks to a process of peer review, with each article submitted to two referees for review.
