Under this label the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs has been publishing a wealth of reports, studies, and analyses since the late 1970s. In 2002 the publications were grouped into the following series defined by their main topics. This publication series appears six times a year as a paying paper subscription and free of charge web version. It contains important reports and communications from the Commission to the Council and the European Parliament on the economic situation and developments. You find here: European Economy - Economic Papers; Economic Papers, written by the staff of the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs or by experts working in association with them, they intend to increase awareness of the technical work being done by the staff and to seek comments and suggestions for further analyses. European Economy - Enlargement Papers; Enlargement Papers provide overviews and forecasts of economic developments and reports on the progress of reform in the Candidates Countries. European Economy - Occasional Papers; Occasional Papers increase awareness of the technical work being done by the staff and cover a wide spectrum of subjects.
