The Scandinavian Journal of Metallurgy has a broad scope. It is an international journal providing a forum for the publication of high-quality manuscripts in areas ranging from minerals processing process metallurgy and metals processing to materials engineering as well as process control and testing. The emphasis is on metallic materials and on materials involved in the processing such as refractories and slags. The processes themselves are also treated such as ore dressing metallurgical processes rolling forging heat treatment welding brazing etc. Examples of subjects in materials engineering are fatigue creep brittle fracture rupture environment assisted cracking corrosion and high-temperature oxidation.
