ISSN: 0328-0381.

Field of Interest: It is dedicated to the field of Entomology and Acarology, with emphasis to the study of vectors, related to human and animal (veterinary) diseases, insect pests of cultivated plants and/or of economic interest, including related subjects such as Geography and Climatology applied to Entomology. Historic Background: The journal Entomologia y Vectores was born in Argentina in 1994 by the altruistic efforts of two researchers: Rodolfo U. Carcavallo from Argentina and Itamar Galindez-Girón from Venezuela who turned out the journal international. With financial support of Universidad de Los Andes (Venezuela) and CiBIOM-CONICET of Argentina, number nº1 of volume nº1 of the journal was edited in February of 1994, including articles about vectors of Chagas Disease, dealing with biology, morphology and taxonomy, including the description of a new species of Triatoma. It was created with the purpose of publishing information on the arthropod vectors involved in pathologies, including aspects of taxonomy, physiology, morphology, ecology, etiology, geographic distribution, genetics, control and history of Entomology. Particular attention was given to subjects that have to do with population dynamics of pests and diseases taking into account evident climate global changes, a subject rarely considered in other journals that deal with Entomology.
